For the last two years, over 20 lakh students have been registering for the NEET UG exam, the sole examination in India for shortlisting candidates for undergraduate medical courses. In a significant update, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the exam city intimation slips for NEET UG 2026, which is set to take place on May 3, 2026, from 2 PM to 5 PM.

Candidates can check and download their examination city intimation slip from neet.nta.nic.in using their application number and date of birth. However, it is crucial to note that this city slip is not the admit card for NEET UG 2026. The official admit card will be released three to four days before the exam.

With 552 cities conducting the NEET UG 2026, the release of the city intimation slip allows students to plan their travel and accommodation accordingly. As one observer noted, “Exam city slip helps students plan travel and accommodation.” This advance notice is particularly beneficial given the logistical challenges many candidates face.

In recent years, the number of candidates registering for NEET UG has seen a steady increase, with 20,87,462 candidates registered in 2023 and 24,06,079 in 2024. This trend highlights the growing competition and the importance of the exam in the academic landscape of India.

The NEET paper will consist of 180 compulsory questions, including 45 in physics, 45 in chemistry, and 90 in biology. As the exam date approaches, candidates are advised to stay updated on the release of the admit card and prepare accordingly.

As the NTA continues to manage this critical examination process, officials are expected to provide further updates regarding the admit card release and any additional information that may assist candidates in their preparation for this highly competitive exam.
