Rupali Chakankar Video with Ashok: Scandal Unfolds in Maharashtra

The scandal surrounding Rupali Chakankar and Ashok Kharat has taken a dramatic turn, with Chakankar resigning from the Maharashtra State Women’s Commission on March 20, 2026, amidst allegations against Kharat, who has been arrested on multiple charges including rape, molestation, and cheating.

A shocking video of Kharat urinating into a glass and offering it to a woman went viral in mid-March, further fueling public outrage. This incident is part of a broader investigation that has revealed Kharat’s alleged use of plastic snakes and tiger skins to intimidate his victims.

As of now, eight cases have been registered against Kharat, with the police filing two additional rape FIRs. Notably, Neeraj Jadhav has recorded over a hundred videos documenting alleged assaults by Kharat, which have become crucial evidence in the ongoing investigation.

Kharat, who has cultivated a following among politicians and bureaucrats over the past two decades, is facing serious legal repercussions. His case has been charged under the Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act, highlighting the severity of the allegations.

In a twist, Chakankar claimed that her finger injury was due to an accident during a ritual, raising questions about her involvement with Kharat, who had listed her as a trustee of his charitable trust, Shivanika. Observers are left to ponder the implications of her resignation and the potential fallout within political circles.

The investigation has also revealed that Kharat allegedly extorted demands reaching up to five crores, and he had been supplying 39 lakh litres of irrigation water to his ashram, indicating a web of corruption and exploitation.

Political figures have weighed in on the scandal, with Jitendra Awhad stating, “I have the names of all the MLAs. I will reveal them at the right time,” suggesting deeper connections that may be exposed. Meanwhile, Devendra Fadnavis remarked, “Nothing happens through black magic,” dismissing the supernatural claims surrounding Kharat’s practices.

As the Special Investigation Team (SIT) was constituted on March 13, 2026, to probe these serious allegations, the public awaits further developments. The situation remains fluid, and details remain unconfirmed regarding the extent of Kharat’s network and the potential involvement of other political figures.

With three women stepping forward to lodge formal complaints against Kharat, the case continues to unfold, raising critical questions about accountability and the protection of women’s rights in Maharashtra.
