Banasthali Vidyapith Celebrates 42nd Convocation with Over 4,500 Graduates

Banasthali Vidyapith marked a significant milestone on March 15, 2026, as it held its 42nd convocation ceremony, where more than 4,500 students were awarded graduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees. This event not only celebrated the academic achievements of the students but also highlighted the institution’s commitment to women’s education and holistic development.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, the Chairman of the National Educational Technology Forum (NETF), Government of India, who served as the chief guest. His participation underscored the importance of integrating academic learning with Indian values, culture, and practical training, which are central to Banasthali Vidyapith’s educational philosophy.
During the convocation, 111 students were recognized for their academic excellence by receiving gold medals. The Deeksha ceremony for the graduating batch was conducted by Prof. Siddharth Shastri, further emphasizing the traditional and cultural aspects of the event. The ceremony included rituals such as the recitation of Mangalacharan and Banasthali Geetika, which are integral to the institution’s heritage.
Prof. Sahasrabudhe praised Banasthali Vidyapith’s approach to education, noting that “the foundation of NEP 2020 appears to resonate with the institution’s Panchmukhi Shiksha model.” He elaborated on how the educational philosophy reflects a holistic framework that develops intellectual, cultural, and physical capabilities among students. This alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 showcases the institution’s commitment to fostering a well-rounded educational experience.
Notable alumni of Banasthali Vidyapith, such as Squadron Leader Avani Chaturvedi and Astha Poonia, were acknowledged during the ceremony, highlighting the institution’s legacy of producing achievers who excel in various fields. The recognition of these individuals serves as an inspiration for current students and reinforces the university’s mission to empower women through education.
The convocation concluded with the presentation of a shawl to the chief guest and a memento presented by the Vice Chancellor. The program ended with the recitation of the Shanti Path followed by the National Anthem, marking a fitting end to a day of celebration and reflection on the achievements of the graduating class.
