RTE Online: Rajasthan Lottery Result 2026 Announced
The Rajasthan Education Department has announced the RTE admission lottery result for 2026, with over 6.3 lakh applicants vying for free seats in private schools across the state. This lottery system is a crucial mechanism under the Right to Education Act, aimed at ensuring access to education for all children.
Selected students must complete document verification and report to their allotted schools between March 13 and March 21, 2026. The verification process is essential for confirming eligibility and ensuring that the admissions are allocated fairly. Parents are advised to check the lottery results on the official RTE Rajasthan website, rajpsp.nic.in.
For the 2026 admissions, a total of 19,92,357 applications were received for seats in 33,137 private schools across Rajasthan. This reflects a significant interest in the program, which allows parents to apply for free admission for their children in private institutions. The application process commenced on February 20 and concluded on March 10, 2026.
Parents had the option to select up to five schools during the application process. They can also modify the order of their selected schools until March 16, 2026. This flexibility is designed to accommodate parents’ preferences and ensure that students are placed in schools that best meet their needs.
The required documents for verification include an income certificate, domicile certificate, caste certificate, birth certificate, and a BPL card if applicable. The income threshold for the income certificate is set at 250,000 INR, ensuring that the program targets families in need.
Classes for all admitted students are scheduled to commence on April 1, 2026. Schools will continue to verify documents of applicants until March 25, 2026. In the event that seats remain vacant after the first round of admissions, a second phase of school allotment will be conducted on April 7, 2026.
Parents can also register grievances regarding the admission process on the RTE portal until April 2, 2026. This provision is intended to address any concerns that may arise during the admission process, ensuring transparency and fairness. The selection of students for free seats in private schools is done through a lottery system, which has been a standard practice in Rajasthan to promote equitable access to education.
As the education community and parents await the next steps in this process, observers are keenly watching how the implementation of the lottery system will unfold and its impact on educational access in Rajasthan. Details remain unconfirmed regarding any additional measures that may be introduced to enhance the admission process in the future.
