Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi 17 Series in India, unveiling two flagship smartphones — the Xiaomi 17 and the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is positioned as a premium device, showcasing significant advancements in smartphone technology.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra features a 6.9 inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and an impressive 3,500 nits peak brightness. This display is designed to enhance user experience, particularly in bright environments.
Weighing 218.4 grams, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra boasts an IP68 rating, providing protection against dust and moisture. This durability is a key selling point for users seeking a reliable device.
Powering the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is a robust 6,000 mAh battery that supports 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. This combination ensures that users can enjoy extended usage without frequent recharging.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s advanced camera system, which includes a 1-inch LOFIC main camera sensor, a 50 MP main camera, a 200 MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50 MP ultrawide lens. This setup is designed to push the boundaries of smartphone photography.

Both the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Xiaomi 17 run on Xiaomi HyperOS 3.5 out of the box, ensuring users have access to the latest software features.
Both phones will be available starting March 18, 2026, and initial reactions from industry experts suggest that Xiaomi is set to make a significant impact in the flagship smartphone market.
