Thakkali Srinivasan was 72 years old at the time of his passing. He began his illustrious career in the film industry as a producer with the film Ivargal Varungala Thoongal in 1987, quickly establishing himself as a significant figure in Tamil cinema.

Over the years, Srinivasan produced several landmark films, including Manasukul Mathappu in 1988, Nalaya Manithan in 1989, and Witness in 1995. His work not only entertained audiences but also contributed to the evolution of Tamil cinema.

In addition to his production work, he was known for directing and composing music for Jenma Natchathiram, a remake of the classic horror film The Omen, released in 1991. He also played the antagonist in the notable Kamal Hassan-starrer Soora Samharam.

In his later years, Srinivasan shifted focus to philanthropy, running an ashram where he lived with his adopted children. This aspect of his life showcased his commitment to giving back to the community.

His last directorial project was the film Aduthathu, inspired by Agatha Christie’s novel And Then There Were None. This project highlighted his enduring passion for storytelling until the end of his life.

His contributions to the film industry and his philanthropic efforts have left a lasting impact on many. “He was a philanthropist who ran an ashram in the later years of his life and was living with his adopted children,” noted a source close to him.
