As the SSC CGL 2025 examination process progresses, candidates are now entering a crucial phase. The post preference window opened on March 9, 2026, allowing candidates to submit their preferred posts for the final merit list.

This window will remain active until March 12, 2026, at 6:00 PM. Candidates are encouraged to log in to the official website www.ssc.gov.in to make their selections.

To be considered for final selection, candidates must submit their preferred posts. A total of 15,130 vacancies have been announced for SSC CGL 2025, including 6,464 for the Unreserved Category, 3,834 for OBC, 2,223 for Scheduled Castes, 1,134 for Scheduled Tribes, and 1,475 for the Minority Category.

It is important to note that candidates can change their preferences multiple times before the deadline. However, those who do not submit their post preference will not be considered for final selection.

Additionally, candidates belonging to the PwBD category must choose posts that are suitable for their disability. They must also meet the physical and medical standards required for the posts they select.

The examination process for SSC CGL 2025 began with the Tier-I examination result declared on December 18, 2025. Following this, the Tier-II examination was conducted from January 18 to January 20, 2026.

As of now, candidates are actively submitting their preferences, and the final allotment of posts will be made on a merit-cum-preference basis. This sequence of events is critical for candidates as it directly impacts their career opportunities in government services.

With the post preference window now open, candidates are urged to make informed choices that align with their career aspirations and qualifications.

Details remain unconfirmed regarding any further developments in the selection process, but candidates are advised to stay updated through official channels.
