Parul University Bomb Threat Leads to Evacuation

“So far, nothing suspicious has been found on the campus, but sanitising the entire campus will take a couple of hours,” stated a police officer responding to a bomb threat at Parul University on March 10, 2026.

The threat, communicated via an email, led to the immediate evacuation of the campus, which houses over 65,000 students across various courses and departments. The university was forced to cancel internal exams scheduled for that day, with plans to reschedule them for the following day after the current exam cycle concludes.

In response to the threat, police teams from the Local Crime Branch, Special Operations Group, and Waghodia Police Station were deployed. The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad conducted a thorough search of the campus, ultimately finding no explosives.
